Avalanche forecast

Avalanche conditions are safe on most slopes due to a shallow snowpack. Consider avoiding slopes where you find consistent snow coverage in steep, cross-loaded terrain features like a gully or just below a ridgeline. You might trigger a small avalanche in one of these isolated areas of unstable snow. You are most likely to find one of these areas at upper elevations on easterly-facing slopes. You can recognize these areas by their rounded pillow-like shape, smooth surface, and dense texture.
