Avalanche Summary

You can trigger a dangerous avalanche on steep slopes facing northwest through east to southeast. These avalanches will break about two to three feet deep and can break wider than you might expect, even on relatively small slopes such as a steep slope cut above a creek or a groomed trail. If you decide to travel on steep slopes on these aspects of concern stick to slopes with no terrain traps such as a gully or a creek below you where even a small avalanche could be deadly.
