Wet slides are expected to become possible today as increasing temperatures and some sunlight weaken the snowpack. This is especially true for low and mid elevations where the most significant warming is to occur. Avalanches are not expected at high elevations where winds and snow showers are expected to minimize warming in the mostly stable snowpack .

Periods of mountain snow showers with light accumulations are expected through Friday. Temperatures are to be cooler with temperatures at higher elevations rising from the mid teens to low twenties during the day. North winds overnight are to become northwest during the day and have averages of five to fifteen miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low if forecast temperatures are realized and avalanches will be unlikely except in isolated pockets. If temperatures do rise significantly higher than is currently expected the avalanche hazard will increase and wet slides may become possible in warm sunlit areas.
