Highlights

The general avalanche hazard remains CONSIDERABLE. Instabilities associated with deeply buried faceted snow and hard crusts formed in November persist on a variety of aspects. Dangerous hard slabs up to six feet in depth are still very sensitive to human triggers on some steep slopes. Today's sunshine and warm temperatures will increase the potential for humans to trigger one of these deep dangerous hard slabs in steep avalanche prone terrain. Conservative decisions regarding terrain selection are recommended.
