Large triggers such as snow machines also have the potential to trigger dangerous hard slabs that have depths to three feet near cliff areas, ridge crests and cornices.

The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate. Skiers and riders will have the potential to trigger recently formed soft slabs to eighteen inch depths in steep wind loaded terrain. New snow and strong winds in the afternoon may also form new shallow surface slabs in very steep terrain. At high elevations near cliffs or where the snowpack is shallow, the potential continues for large loads to trigger deeper hard slabs near the base of the snowpack. These deeper instabilities are most prevalent in the Togwotee Pass area and the Southwest Trails area.
