Highlights
With new snow and strong winds in the forecast isolated pockets of new soft surface slab are likely to form in some mid and upper elevation avalanche starting zones. As the day progresses and new snow deposits build, the hazard will increase. Humans could trigger these shallow surface slabs in steep wind loaded starting zones with fresh accumulations of new snow. Avoid terrain traps and cliff areas.
