Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. New snow with strong winds has created drifts to 18 inches in depth in the avalanche starting zones near ridgetops. Snow under those areas and other old snow is now an ideal, slippery layer for avalanches to run on when triggered by backcountry travellers.
