Plan to start and end your day early before the snowpack becomes wet and unstable. You can trigger smaller point-release avalanches that can gouge to the ground in saturated, steep terrain, or potentially break out a larger wet slab at higher elevations. Steer clear of steeper sunny terrain, especially around exposed rocky features, by midday or earlier if the snow is unsupportable. Many below-treeline slopes have melted out.
In addition, you might be able to trigger a dangerous slab avalanche on steep north-facing slopes at higher elevations where weak layers are still cold and preserved.
