Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the San Juan Mountains including areas around Silverton and US 550, the La Plata and Rico Mountains, and areas around Vallecito Lake, Wolf Creek Pass, and the South San Juan Wilderness. Very dangerous avalanche conditions exist and last through Friday. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are very likely. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended during this time period.
