Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche large enough to bury or kill you. You may not receive any warning signs before you trigger an avalanche that breaks 3 or more feet thick on weak layers near the ground. You can trigger avalanches from the bottom of a slope, or from a distance. Give yourself a wide buffer around steep slopes above you and be mindful of other parties. Stick to slopes less than about 30 degrees steepness with no steep slopes overhead.
