The chance continues for backcountry travelers to trigger surface slabs to depths of eighteen inches in steep, wind loaded terrain. In isolated areas, a slight chance remains for skiers and riders to trigger harder slabs to depths of three feet on weak snow that persists at the base of the snowpack.
