These slabs lie upon firm crusts and could be triggered by people who venture onto steep avalanche prone slopes. Avalanches are unlikely below an elevation of 8,500 feet where snow depths are generally less than a foot deep.

Skies will be cloudy overnight and into the morning hours on Tuesday. A couple inches of new snow accumulation are possible at the higher elevations. Temperatures will be in the teens at night and in the 20s in the afternoon. Winds will be west-southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. At the upper elevations the general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Isolated pockets of wind slab up to 18 inches in depth could be triggered in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. Avalanches are not likely at the mid or lower elevations.
