The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE at upper elevations and MODERATE at mid elevations. Surface slabs from one to three feet in depth from the recent snow continue to be easily initiated. Most slides triggered have been on north to southeast aspects running on faceted snow near crusts, wind packed snow or density breaks. Over the last three days, several events have been reported. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely.Wind information will be added after some technincal issues are resolved.

Some upper elevation areas may recieve a light snow shower Monday night with dry conditions and highs in the upper teens to mid twenties expected Tuesday.AVALANCHE HAZARD FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS / CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND GREYS RIVER / SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be MODERATE at upper elevations and mid elevations and LOW at low elevations throughout Western Wyoming. Pockets of dense surface slabs to three feet in the areas that recieved the most snowfall last week could be human triggered in steep avalanche terrain. Backcountry users are advised to consult area specific forecasts issued every morning as new information may become available and unexpected weather can change conditions.
