The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW above 8500 feet. There is the possibility of releasing small slides in steep, lee areas that will run easily on crusts. Below 8500 feet the Hazard is CONSIDERABLE. A half inch of rain overnight combined with an already rotten, wet snowpack has created the potential for large, dangerous wet slides both human and artificially triggered which could run for great distances. Stay away from run-out zones, off steep areas and out of terrain traps.This is the last morning Avalanche Bulletin for the season.

Tonight into Wednesday a strong Spring storm system will bring rain and snow to the region. Around midnight the snow level will drop to the valley floor. 6 to 10 inches of snow are possible by Monday night.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The General Avalanche Hazard tomorrow will increase to MODERATE with the new snow and winds. Warm snow from rain should bond well to old surfaces but soft slabs could be tirggered on steep, lee slopes at higher elevations. Lower elevations will be temporarily stable during the below freezing period.
