Unsettled conditions will persist for the interior ranges after a cold front exits BC today. A ridge of high pressure will build back tonight

Snowpack Summary

Overnight, 5cm of new snow buried a crust on all aspects below 2000m and into the alpine on solar aspects. On high north aspects, the new snow covers settled dry snow. The mid and lower portions of the snowpack are generally strong.

Avalanche Summary

Yesterday, a few small loose wet avalanches were observed from steep SE through W aspects.

On Saturday, several loose wet avalanches, up to size 2.5, were observed by field teams and in the highway corridor. A large, size 2.0, cornice fall was also observed on the North side of Mt. Bonney.
