Snow showers and strong winds will cause unstable wind slabs in the alpine that are easy to trigger for skiers. In a few places avalanches can trigger by themselves when the weather is ongoing. Be aware of strong winds and quick changes in the wind if you plan to go out.

Lørdag blir det snøbyger til havnivå og periodevis svært kraftig vind. Utover dagen vil det bygge seg opp ferske fokksnøflak i fjellet. Disse vil være lette å løse ut for skikjørere mens været står på. Vinden vil i løpet av dagen dreie fra sørvest til nordvest og øke på, og leheng i flere himmelretninger vil være utsatt for innlastning av snø. Enkelte naturlig utløste skred kan ikke utelukkes.

Tidlig på dagen er det mildt, og dersom det regner kan man fortsatt løse ut små våte løssnøskred i lavlandet.

Mildvær og regn siste dager har sannsynligvis påvirket snøoverflaten opp til rundt 1000moh. Snøbyger forrige helg ga rundt 15-30 cm nysnø, og opptil 50 cm i leformasjoner. Den snøen la seg oppå eldre smelte- og solpåvirka snø. Observasjoner tyder på at nysnø fra forrige helg bandt seg godt til eldre skare.
