Forecast Snow Stability: Patchy, well bonded snow will be mostly encountered above 900 metres. Occasional pockets of softer snow will persist in wind sheltered locations on generally Southerly aspects above 800 metres. These will be mostly shallow and avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry and cold day with the freezing level remaining at around 500 to 600 metres. Winds will be moderate Northerlies overnight, easing to become light, variable during the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A cold and mainly dry day with some light snow flurries during the early afternoon. Variable wind speeds and directions experienced but generally Northerly and strong at summit level. Freezing level around 600 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy old snow has refrozen and is firm and often icy. Softer, recent deposits are present with some localised, shallow accumulations to be found in wind sheltered locations on mainly Southerly aspects above 800 metres. Distribution is limited to avoidable patches. The avalanche hazard is Low.
