Forecast Snow Stability: Yesterday\'s deposits of new windslab, lying mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 850 metres, will remain. Accumulations having gained depth will not be extensive. The surface of the old snowpack, greatest accumulations of which lie on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres, will refreeze in the colder conditions and will generally be stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Strong West-North-Westerly winds will ease overnight and back Southerly before strengthening to strong during the afternoon. It is expected to be dry throughout the period. After an overnight frost it will be a cloudy day. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight, through the morning and early afternoon the freezing level remained above all summits. It then started lowering during the afternoon. From the late morning onwards mainly light precipitation fell as rain at all levels, turning to snow above 850 metres from mid-afternoon. Winds were strong generally South-Westerly, veering West-North-Westerly during the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is thawing at all levels, and is generally stable on all aspects and at all levels. Greatest accumulations are on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. During the late afternoon the surface started to refreeze and some fresh windslab was deposited in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. Accumulations gaining depth are not extensive. The avalanche hazard is Low.
