Forecast Snow Stability: Instabilities within windslab will persist in the cold temperatures. Greatest accumulations will be on steep North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres. Some more localised instabilities mainly in gullies on North aspects. Fragile cornices above all these aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.
Forecast Weather Influences: Some very light showers will be snow at all levels. Winds will be moderate Westerly. The freezing level will be around 200 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry day, strong North-Westerly winds veered to become Westerly. The freezing level lowered to around 300 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Fresh unstable windslab is continuing to develop. Areas most affected are North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres. More localised deposits are present, in gullies on North aspects. Fragile cornices are present above all these aspects. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
