The wind slabs represent the main danger. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on very steep northeast, southeast and south facing slopes individual small avalanches are possible especially above approximately 1700 m.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations. The more recent wind slabs have formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally at elevated altitudes. New snow to intermediate altitudes. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a wet old snowpack.
