Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack will re-freeze overnight and become firm and icy in exposed places. Shallow surface instabilities will exist on steeper slopes mainly above 900 metres. Areas such as gully exits and steep scarp slopes with Northerly to Easterly aspects will be most affected. These areas will generally be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light snow showers early Wednesday evening will affect slopes above 800 metres, it will then become dry with fresh generally South-Westerly winds. The freezing level will be around 1000 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A strong South-Westerly airflow has affected the area. There have been mainly light showers falling as snow above 900 metres. The freezing level was around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining old snowpack is generally stable. Light snow showers have formed localised shallow surface instabilities in wind sheltered locations such as gully exits. The avalanche hazard is Low.
