Forecast Snow Stability: Localised accumulations of fresh moderately bonded windslab will form on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Areas most affected will be wind sheltered areas such as gully tops and coire rims. Elsewhere the existing snowpack will be well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: Light showers overnight and during the morning will fall as snow above about 950 metres. Strong mainly South-Westerly winds will decrease in strength through the day. The freezing level will be about 950 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A damp day with moderate Southerly winds. The freezing level rose to just above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is continuing to thaw and consolidate. Stability is good in all locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
