The fresh and older wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in steep terrain. The more recent wind slabs are mostly small. Avalanches can be released in near-surface layers, even by small loads in isolated cases. This applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas above approximately 2300 m. The wind slabs are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in steep rocky terrain.

In particular along the border with France, along the border with Switzerland 5 to 15 cm of snow fell on Friday above approximately 1800 m. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes. In particular in shady places that are protected from the wind above approximately 2000 m: Towards its surface, the snowpack is soft; its surface consists of loosely bonded snow.

The avalanche danger will persist. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good in some case. As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of wet avalanches during the day being released will increase a little.
