The weather is changing and the week of blue sky and perfect conditions is over. Thursday could be a tough day with a few cm of snow over crusts and tough visibility up high. By Friday expect some fresh snow and soft powder again.

Well what a week it was . . . but that is over now as a low pressure system moves onshore and begins to spread precipitation across the Rockies starting on Wed evening. Thursday should see a few cm of snow with potentially up to 15 cm by Friday morning - all accompanied by relatively light winds and freezing levels at about 1800 m.
Snowpack Summary
North aspect snow is soft, cold and well settled with few weak layers of concern. South and west aspects have a 5-10 cm suncrust on the surface. New snow overnight Thursday will cover the crust with a dusting of new snow, but not be enough to substantially change the snowpack. Expect more new snow and windslabs in the alpine by Friday morning
Avalanche Summary
Isolated loose wet avalanches out of steep, rocky, sun exposed terrain. By noon today the crust on south aspects had not yet broken down.
