Wind slabs with depths of 4 to 12 inches could be triggered in isolated areas or extreme terrain.
The snowpack is generally stable and most terrain can be navigated safely. Low hazard does not mean no hazard exists. At the upper elevations, isolated pockets of soft slab lie in steep terrain. These slabs were formed by strong southwest to northwest winds that have been blowing since noon on Monday. Although these slabs are small and have gained some strength, beware of triggering them on terrain features where even a small slide could carry severe consequences.

As a high-pressure ridge builds over the region, tomorrow skies are expected to be partly cloudy to mostly clear. Temperatures will continue to warm with the mountains climbing into the upper twenties to thirties and valleys into the forties. Winds will abate overnight and are expected to be west to southwest at fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour. The snowpack is mostly stable. Dry snow avalanche are unlikely except for isolated pockets of shallow wind slab in very steep terrain at the highest elevations. Sunshine and warm temperatures will be increasing the wet snow avalanche hazard at all elevations. Significant softening of the snow surfaces could create unstable conditions during the warmest portion of the day on steep sunlit slopes. Avoid steep slopes at the lower elevations if the snowpack becomes isothermal. Roof slides are possible and can cause property damage and seriously injure kids, adults and pets. The general avalanche hazard up to an elevation of 10,500 is expected to be low with an increasing wet snow avalanche hazard during the afternoon hours.
