Avalanche Activity

Weak layers in the old snowpack necessitate caution and restraint. The wind slabs can be released in isolated cases in particular on steep shady slopes.

Dry avalanches can be released in deeper layers also. The fresh snow and in particular the mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant.

Snowpack Structure

Precarious weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes. The snowpack will be moist at low altitude.
