Fresh wind slabs in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.
Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on very steep slopes more avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads.
The snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations. The strong wind has transported some snow. The fresh wind slabs are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. The wind will transport the fresh and old snow. In addition further wind slabs will form adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally at high altitudes.
