The snowpack remains weakly bonded in the north.
The snowpack remains weakly bonded in the north.
Some fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m.
In the east 5 to 10 cm of snow will fall. In particular above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. The more recent wind slabs of recent weeks have bonded well with the old snowpack especially on sunny slopes. Especially places where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are unfavourable. Low and intermediate altitudes as well as wind-protected sunny slopes: The snowpack is stable and its surface has a crust. In particular shady slopes where hard layers are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack are precarious.
