Little snow, small drift snow problem
Little snow, small drift snow problem
The avalanche danger is low, the main danger is drift snow. Above 2200 m, small slab avalanches can be triggered in a few places in west, north and east exposures.
The snow surface is wind-treated. In the upper part of the snow cover, overblown fresh snow can form a weak layer. Overall, there is still little snow.
On Tuesday, the sun will mostly shine with good visibility. In the Nockberge mountains and high altitudes of the Tauern mountains, a moderately strong to brisk southerly wind will blow at first, dying down in the morning, then the wind will be mostly weak to moderately strong everywhere. At 2000 metres the temperature will be around 0 degrees Celsius, at 3000 metres around -7 degrees Celsius.
Little change.
