The more recent wind slabs can be released in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in gullies and bowls and in the vicinity of peaks. In some places new snow is lying on an icy crust. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. In particular on very steep sunny slopes mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming.

Below approximately 2200 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. Snow depths vary greatly at intermediate and high altitudes, depending on the infuence of the wind. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack in particular on sunny slopes at intermediate and high altitudes.
