Flurries today with accumulation around 6cm. Freezing level should rise to 1300m with alpine highs of -6C accompanied by S winds up to moderate speed.
Snowpack Summary
70cm of storm snow at 1900m in the past week. Strong S'ly winds redistributed the new snow loading lee features. Our field trip around 2100m produced whumphing on planar S'ly features. Storm snow is settling into a cohesive slab on a buried crust down about 30 to 70cm on all aspects up to 2000m, and higher on solar aspects.
Avalanche Summary
An avalanche cycle on March 30th produced numerous avalanches to size 3 in the highway corridor. Evidence of this same cycle were observed in the west end of the park with many of the slides running mid storm and debris already being partially buried.
