The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in extremely steep terrain at high altitude.

Avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on steep west, north and east facing slopes at high altitude. The various wind slabs have bonded quite well already with the old snowpack. The avalanche prone locations are clearly recognisable to the trained eye.
