Individual avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found on very steep slopes above approximately 2100 m. Slight increase in danger as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation.
The wind slabs can be released in some cases on steep northeast, southeast and southwest facing slopes above approximately 2100 m. These can be released by people and reach medium size. Caution is to be exercised in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain, as well as at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Gradual increase in danger of dry and moist avalanches as a consequence of warming, in particular on rocky sunny slopes, as well as at the base of rock walls.
In some cases the wind slabs have bonded still only poorly with each other and the old snowpack. The wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack in particular on shady slopes above the tree line. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak. Snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas at elevated altitudes hardly any snow is lying.
As a consequence of rising temperatures and the mostly light wind, the snow drift accumulations will stabilise during the next few days.
