Avalanche Summary

You might be able to trigger a small avalanche in an area of drifted snow. Expect to find the deepest drifts of snow above treeline on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes. Look for and avoid pillowy or lens-shaped drifts on leeward slopes below ridgelines.
