Highlights

Soft slabs up to three feet in depth lie at mid and upper elevations. These slabs could be released today by backcountry users on steep slopes particularly near cliff or rocky areas. The probability of these slabs releasing as well as the likelihood of wet slides will increase this afternoon if significant warming occurs on steep sunlit slopes. Such warming could also affect steep, low elevation, sunlit terrain where otherwise avalanches are unlikely today.
