Highlights
Pockets of slab at mid and upper elevations lie on weak layers of faceted snow and crusts. These slabs range from a foot deep at mid elevations to three feet deep at upper elevations and have been formed mainly by strong varying winds over the last week. These slabs could be triggered today by snowmobiles, skiers, and snowboarders. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today.
