At the upper elevations, strong winds and dense new snow have created shallow pockets of wind slab on steep, wind-loaded slopes near ridgelines. While relatively small, these slabs still have the potential to sweep backcountry travelers off their feet or push them into compromising areas. Avalanches are unlikely below 9,000 feet.

Snowfall will decrease Monday as winds back to westerly and slow. Mountain temperatures will be near freezing with partly cloudy skies.The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to remain LOW Monday morning.
