Togwotee Pass
Avalanche danger
Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is LOW. The snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely except for isolated pockets of wind slab to a foot deep in very steep terrain. Sunny weather will increase the chance of wet-loose slides from very steep areas or under cliff bands.
Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A dry and warmer day is expected although a weak disturbance to the North may provide some clouds to the area. Mountain temperatures are to rise to near forty degrees. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low on Thursday. Isolated pockets of wind slab could be triggered with depths to a foot in steep high elevation terrain in cliff areas and wet loose slides may become possible at lower elevations as warming occurs.
