Highlights

At high elevations today snow slabs to eighteen inches in depth lie on wind loaded slopes. On East to South facing slopes, these slabs lie upon a hard crust and pockets of slab could be triggered today particularly in the afternoon when significant warming will increase these slab's sensitivity. Avalanches are unlikely in the shallow snowpack at mid and low elevations.
