Highlights
At the mid and upper elevations hard slabs to four feet in depth lie in avalanche terrain. The slabs rest on rotten, faceted snow that continues to lose strength on northerly aspects where snow remained from the Autumn storms. Multiple passes by backcountry travellers or other strong triggers have been necessary to initiate reported slides. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely in the shallow snowpack.
