The storm this past weekend dropped 8-10" into the East Cabinets and 2-8" across other areas. During the last storm the southwest winds initially loaded north and east aspects before a cold front switched things up with strong north easterly winds. Expect to find pockets of stubborn wind slab on all aspects today with easterly aspects seeing the most recent loading due to yesterdays westerly winds. It will be possible that you may even find small wind slabs below treeline in open terrain; however, the minimal snowfall at lower elevations will likely keep these wind slabs small and relatively harmless below treeline. Pay attention to surface clues such as stiff snow and cracking in the snowpack surface, these signs will be your clue to move to safer ground.
