The backcountry touring conditions are generally favourable.
The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will already soften in the late morning, in the event of an overcast night in particular, in particular below approximately 2000 m. Slight increase in danger as a consequence of warming during the day. In particular at intermediate altitudes individual mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses, in particular in case of releases originating from extremely steep starting zones that still retain some snow. Weak layers exist deeper in the snowpack. Avalanches can in very isolated cases be released in deep layers and reach medium size in isolated cases. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in areas where the snow cover is rather shallow and in little used backcountry terrain.
The weather conditions fostered a strengthening of the snowpack in particular on sunny slopes. Towards its surface, the snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling here. Especially steep shady slopes high altitudes and the high Alpine regions: Weak layers exist in the old snowpack. Towards its surface, the snowpack consists of faceted crystals; its surface consists of faceted crystals. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. In the last few days hardly any more avalanches were reported.
The backcountry and freeriding conditions are quite favourable. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. As a consequence of warming during the day there will be no slight decrease in the danger of moist and wet avalanches in the late morning.
