Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will partially consolidate but it will also become soft and moist in all locations. This will lead to localised areas of surface wet snow instabilities particularly on steep North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 900 metres. Most affected areas will be summit gullies, their exits, steep scarp slopes and steep coire rims. Cornices that exist in these locations will be prone to collapse, affecting slopes below them. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will remain above the summits through this period. Overnight, some light rain is expected with strong South-South-Easterly winds. Cloudy tomorrow with patchy light rain or drizzle falling at all levels. Winds easing becoming Southerly. Observed Weather Influences: There was an overnight frost at lower levels. It dawned clear and bright but clouds quickly engulfed the summits. It remained dry through the day with light East-North-Easterly winds. The freezing level was around 1300 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack stability is generally good. However, some isolated pockets of windslab instabilities remain, mainly on North to Easterly aspects above 900 metres. Summit gullies and steeper scarp slopes are most affected. Fragile cornices also exist above some of these areas. In most other locations the snowpack is generally stable, becoming moist with rising daytime temperatures. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
