The fresh wind slabs represent the main danger. These can at their margins be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. Avalanches can in isolated cases be released in near-ground layers and reach medium size. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in extremely steep terrain and at transitions into gullies and bowls, this also applies adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas at intermediate and high altitudes. Transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially unfavourable. As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of dry and moist avalanches being released will increase a little in particular on very steep sunny slopes at intermediate altitudes.

The northerly wind will transport the loosely bonded old snow. As a consequence of a moderate to strong wind from northeasterly directions, visible wind slabs formed by Thursday in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack at intermediate and high altitudes. In all aspects below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

The wind will be moderate to strong adjacent to ridgelines. The avalanche danger will increase a little during the day.
