The main hazards at Rogers Pass are smacking rocks, stumps, and all the other people crammed into the sparse slopes that can be ridden. There isn't much snow!!

No new avalanches have been observed in the past 3 days. A field team in the Fidelity area observed small, loose surface sluffs running fast on steep rolls.
Expect a weak surface crust on steep terrain facing the sun. Widespread surface hoar is present from valley bottom up into the Alpine on most aspects.
The height of snow at treeline is approx. 80cm, which is 40cm below average. Many rocks/trees lurk at and just below the snow surface.
The base of the snowpack consists of weak, sugary facets.
The dry spell continues at Rogers Pass, with no snow forecasted until the weekend.

Wed: Cloudy, light winds, Alp high -10°C.
Thurs: Mix of sun/cloud, light W winds, Alp high -10°C
Fri: Cloudy with isolated flurries, trace snow, Alp high -10°C, light ridge wind occasionally gusting to 35km/h.
