Most snow will remain on permanently shaded terrain, mainly NW to NE aspects above 800 metres. Otherwise, mostly bare ground, particularly on sun affected aspects. The remaining patches of old snow will be firm. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

The freezing level will lower to around 800 metres overnight, rising above the summits p.m. Observed Weather Influences: Dry and sunny, with summit cloud at times from late morning onwards. Light and variable wind. The freezing level was at, or just above the higher summits by midday. ObservedSnowStability: The snow cover is very limited, slowly thawing and stable in all locations.
