Over a wide area new snow. Increase in avalanche danger.

On steep slopes small and medium-sized natural avalanches are possible as a consequence of the snowfall. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads and reach medium size. Decrease in avalanche danger below approximately 1800 m.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow represents the main danger.
