The backcountry touring conditions are favourable.

During the day: On extremely steep slopes individual small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation,, in isolated cases also on shady slopes, in particular at the base of rock walls. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases and mostly by large additional loads.

As a consequence of highly fluctuating temperatures and solar radiation the snowpack consolidated. Field observations show good snowpack stability. Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2300 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. The conditions below approximately 2500 m are spring-like. This applies in all aspects. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes.

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften quickly. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level.
