As the day progresses a moderate danger of wet avalanches will be encountered over a wide area
Only a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be wet all the way through. Dry avalanches are no longer to be expected.
Snowpack Structure
Clear skies during the night will give rise to a strong crust on sunny slopes over a wide area. Warming and solar radiation during the day will thaw the crust and weaken the snowpack. Both wet snow and gliding avalanches can occur. In particular in southern Valais and the inneralpine and southern regions of Grisons, distinct weak layers exist deep in the snowpack. These will respond especially sensitively as moistening begins. In the indicated places, moist and wet snow avalanches can release deep layers of the snowpack or be initiated directly in these layers. They can also be released by people in some cases. The snowpack is thoroughly moist on south facing slopes below approximately 2800 m, on east and west facing slopes below approximately 2400 m, and on north facing slopes below approximately 1600 m.

Tendency
On each of the coming days, it will be mostly clear at night and sunny during the daytime. The zero degree level will be approximately 2500 m. The avalanche situation will be favourable in the morning. The danger of wet snow and gliding avalanches will increase during each of the coming days. Backcountry touring is to be concluded timely.
