Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.
As a consequence of the precipitation individual mostly small wet slab avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. Moist avalanches can additionally in isolated cases be released, mostly by large additional loads.
The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. The older wind slabs are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally at high altitudes. The rain will give rise on Thursday to rapid and thorough wetting of the old snowpack. This applies in particular below approximately 2100 m.
